"The ants go marching one by one . . . to get out of the rain . . . "

According to this song, "The ants go marching one by one . . . to get out of the rain  . . . ", and I must say, as an urban gardener, the fact that "the little ones stop to get out of the rain . . . ", is not a detail lost on  me. I have captured a picture (Gotcha, Ms. Ant) of a singular ant resting upon my Paeonia suffruiticosa (Tree Peony).

Unfortunately, ants love my Paeonia suffruiticosa (Tree Peony), as much as I do, and, MANY of the "little ones" have "stopped to get out of the rain" — seeking refuge from the rain in my urban terrace garden by coming into the apartment of yours truly — which is being invaded by ants from my beloved Paeonia suffruiticosa (Tree Peony), who seems non-plussed by this, as evidenced in the photographs posted below:

My remarkable Paeonia suffruiticosa (Tree Peony), seems to be enjoying life as it presents itself, and why shouldn't she — she is gorgeous — (and she knows it). Still, I, as her garden- tender, am left to deal with the ant invasion, and I  do mean, invasion of ants, that seek refuge from her in my kitchen, in my bathroom, and on my desk!

So dearest reader, if any of you out in my cyber-space community know of a kind remedy to get rid of ants; PLS, advise, ASAP!
